Hi Doo Wop lovers. The Doo Wop Project is something I started in 2005. I have 33,000 MP3 songs now and I am attempting to finish the Complete Book of Doo Wop by Gribbin & Schiff. I am about 5,000 short. There are 500 new songs I will catalog and add shortly.
If you are interested in seeing the collection just click the link below and you can view the entire collection as an Adobe PDF file.
I recently put it in PDF format so you can easily do an Adobe PDF search and find songs by title. As I receive information I will change it so check the date for current updates.
I see this as a "Work In Progress." That means there really is no end except to share the information and music with the Doo Wop community. There are a lot of enthusiasts out there that would like more information about the songs they have. This project will allow you to participate and share in the results. I will keep this database on-line and constantly update this site. I welcome your feedback about the site and ways to improve it.
Let's work together to keep the music alive.
I know there is a wealth of information out there among Doo Wop lovers. If you see an artist you recognize and have the information please hit the e-mail link and send it to me. I will periodically update my database so you can download it whenever you want.
If you find mistakes please let me know. It's hard to find accurate information and the sources I used often conflict.
Some of the songs listed may not be pure Doo Wop so forgive me for that transgression.
It's a great project and it's not just mine. Please participate and you can view the results whenever you want. Don't forget to sign the Guest Book and let me know if I can help you with anything.
Side Note: A number of folks have e-mailed me asking about Rock & Roll Songs. I have a collection of about 11,500 songs. I have not cataloged them yet but if you are interested in seeing the songs by artist click the link below for the list in the PDF file.
